We work with forward-thinking leadership
SERES is truly committed to empowering young leaders locally and supporting a culture of inclusion that fosters diversity and encourages everyone to strive towards leadership opportunities. 95% of SERES’ staff are local, and almost half of the SERES board and two-thirds of the staff are former SERES youth leaders, placing the organization in a unique position to understand the context where we are working.
Award-winning approach
Internationally recognized after receiving the inaugural UNESCO-Japan Prize for Education for Sustainable Development in 2015, SERES is one of the leading organizations worldwide that works to combat complex social, environmental and economic challenges by cultivating and catalyzing young leaders to take action at the local, regional, national and international levels.
Transparency governance accountability
At SERES, we work hard to ensure transparency, accountability and good governance in all aspects of our operations. SERES has achieved the Gold Seal of Transparency Rating on GuideStar, putting the organization in the top 0.5% of charities in terms of transparency. The Gold Seal of Transparency indicates that the organization shares clear and important information with the public about our goals, strategies, achievements and progress indicators that highlight the difference that SERES is making in the world.
“The spaces that SERES provides are places where we can be our full selves – the good and the bad – and that’s always something to appreciate. I feel valued because here it’s not your academic achievements that make a person, it’s the way you think and your ability to keep going… - Gaspar Laines Juil”
