Tugende

At Tugende, we create opportunity through ownership. We’re a for-profit social enterprise in Uganda that helps safe, reliable motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) drivers buy their own motorcycles, giving them the means to control their own tools of employment and kick starting a path to financial independence.

Proximity Designs

Proximity Designs is a not-for-profit social enterprise working to help reduce poverty for rural families in Myanmar (Burma). They design and market products and services that low-income farmers purchase and use to help increase their incomes. The organisation sells foot-powered irrigation pumps, water storage tanks, drip irrigation systems, solar lighting and farm advisory services. Proximity distributes its products and services through a network of private sector agro-dealers and independent village-level agents that reaches approximately 80 percent of Myanmar’s rural population.

Juhudi Kilimo

Juhudi Kilimo is a social enterprise and certified B-Corporation that provides asset financing and technical assistance to smallholder farmers and small-to-medium agro-businesses throughout Kenya. Juhudi operates exclusively in rural areas, giving smallholder farmers access to the tools they need to scale up and succeed.

Generation

Generation is a youth employment nonprofit with a dual mission to empower young people to build thriving, sustainable careers and to provide employers the highly skilled, motivated talent they need. Today, more than 21,000 young adults have graduated from the Generation program, which prepares young adults for careers in nearly 80 cities and 200 locations across eight countries, with five countries in pre-launch.
